Expanding the Imagination

Published: 11/1/2002

"Expanding the Imagination: The Classroom, the Community, the Audience," a project coordinated by Assistant Professors Michele Genor (Curriculum and Teaching) and Ruth Bereson (Arts and Humanities), featured a dialogue between Professor Emeritus Maxine Greene and Professor Graeme Sullivan of Arts Education. The project was funded by a pretenured collaborative grant and involved faculty and students from preservice elementary education program and those from arts administration as well as senior faculty from other programs. The dialogue provided critical interaction across the disciplines and generated a lively discussion about the significance of the arts in society.
