Professor Maxine Greene Speaks Out for the Arts

Published: 9/23/1997

Professor Emeritus Maxine Greene was a guest speaker September 18 at a reception to launch the new school year and introduce potential new supporters to The Center for Arts Education.

Professor Greene was invited to speak because of the vision she helped to articulate in the Artsvision Plan--that of school reform, through the arts, through collaborative, community-building effort.

This summer, Professor Greene was keynote speaker at a conference sponsored by the Empire State Partnerships at the University of Rochester. She has also been asked to write a foreword to the new edition of Houghton Mifflin's How We Think.
