Faculty and graduate students of Teachers College, Columbia University are among the approximately 14,000 education researchers at the 87th Annual Meeting of the American Educational Research Association (AERA) in San Francisco, California, April 7 to April 11, 2006.

The meeting's theme is "Education Research in the Public Interest." Among Teachers College faculty, key presentations will be made by Thomas Bailey, Henry M. Levin, Kevin Dougherty, Eleanor Drago-Severson, Margaret Crocco, Stephen J. Silverman, David Hansen, Susan Lowes, Ye Wang, Stephanie Jones, Yan Wang, Vanessa Smith Morest, and Janet Miller.
