Welcome from the Director

Thank you for visiting the admission website for Teachers College, Columbia University! I congratulate you on taking the first step toward obtaining your graduate degree. With over 100 programs of study to choose from, TC is the largest and most comprehensive graduate school of education in the United States. We are a diverse community passionately committed to improving society through education. And, while one-third of our students are enrolled in teacher education programs, TC students pursue careers in such diverse fields as psychology, health, communication, instructional technology, higher education, and leadership, just to name a few of our offerings.

It was almost 15 years ago that I began my search for a doctoral program and found my home at Teachers College. I remember researching TC and discovering what a remarkable place this is. Never did I imagine that one day, I would be leading the admissions and enrollment services efforts at this prestigious institution. Today, eight years after obtaining my Ed.D. in Higher and Postsecondary Education, I am confident that I have the best job at the College! I have the privilege of assisting students with their admission inquiries and helping turn their dreams into reality by offering them admission to TC. I also have the pleasure of meeting you, today’s prospective students and tomorrow’s leaders and scholars.

We hope that you will find this site helpful as you begin the application process to graduate school at TC. This is an exciting time to be a part of TC’s student body and the greater Columbia University community.
